John "The Czech" Vondra

Hi Everybody! Well as you can see by what you clicked my name is John. I moved to Houston about 4 years ago from San Diego. Even though I really miss the sun and the surf I have come to love Houston and really love the people.

Shortly after moving to Houston I meet my beautiful wife Lucie. She like my parents are from the Czech Rep. Being born in the U.S. I never thought I would end up with a Czech girl but... well here I am! lol

Stuff I like.... Hmmmm there is so much! Music wise I love anything long as it's good. My Heart is into harder stuff like Tool and Gwar, Pantera etc. but I am growing to really love country, George Strait is the bomb!. I am a huge comic book fan, my wife and I have all the movies. I am Batman. I also love to kick back and play my X Box 360. Yes I am a dork and that's why they put me in charge of this one part of this website (The Q Morning Zoo part), and that's why I have my own bio... te he.

Anyways when I came to Houston and most of my adult life I knew I wanted to work with sound. Of course I made the rounds Best Buy, waiting tables etc. all while going to school for Audio Eng. and trying to find out what I want to do. Open a recording studio? Be in a band? I don't know! Well it was time for my internship and I found my way to Cox Radio Houston. Long story short I did well and here I am. I have been here for almost 2 years now and it's really hard work but super fun all at the same time. I hope to get to meet all of you and keep listening ya'll!
